Privacy

How Puraluma handles your data and protects your privacy.

Last updated February 2026

Local-first by default

All tools work in your browser by default. Your answers and results are stored in your browser's local storage - on your device, not our servers. You don't need an account to use any tool.

When you clear your browser data, your locally-stored results are deleted.

Optional accounts

We may offer optional accounts in the future for features like cloud sync or progress tracking across devices. If you create an account, we'll only collect and store what's necessary to provide those features (such as your email address and saved assessments).

Accounts will always be optional. All tools will continue to work locally without signing up.

Analytics

We collect minimal, anonymous usage data to understand how people use the site:

  • Which pages you visit
  • Where you came from (referrer information)
  • Basic device and browser information

We use privacy-focused analytics with automatic tracking, session recording, and heatmaps disabled. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.

We never:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your data to train AI models
  • Track you across other websites
  • Create advertising profiles

Sharing results

Some tools let you share your results via a link. Your results are encoded directly in the URL itself (as base64 data) - nothing is stored on a server to generate the link.

Shared links are public to anyone who has them. Don't share a link if you want your results to stay private.

Your rights

You control your data:

  • Export: Use the "Save as image" or export features on results pages
  • Delete local data: Clear your browser's local storage for puraluma.com
  • Delete account data: If you create an account, you can request deletion at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
  • Opt out of analytics: Use an ad blocker or privacy extension - the tools will still work perfectly

For requests related to your data under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws, contact us through our Support page.

Changes to this policy

We'll notify users of significant changes to this privacy policy by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, if you have an account, via email.
