The Masking Energy Test measures the energy cost of neurodivergent masking: suppressing your natural traits to appear neurotypical. You identify specific masking behaviors and where you do them, then see the energy cost for each life context.
Masking means forcing eye contact, suppressing stims, scripting conversations, moderating your speech, hiding reactions, and performing calm when you feel anything but. Each behavior costs energy, and this tool makes that visible.
The result is a percentage (0-100%) showing how much energy goes to the performance, plus a named profile describing your pattern: Workplace Performer, Full-Time Chameleon, Inner Monitor, Strategic Masker, and more.
This tool is for ADHD adults who mask, AuDHD adults, late-diagnosed autistic adults, and anyone who suspects they're spending significant energy on appearing "normal."
It's also useful for coaches working with neurodivergent clients, and for anyone curious about the hidden costs of fitting in.
